Another busy, busy day at Shepler’s as the last group of Winsome Women arrived. I crossed over on the 8 a.m. boat.

Some friends were on board with their dog, Sage. What a cutie!

Jill rode over with me to go to the Mackinaw City Bakery, and she stopped and snapped a couple of shots before crossing back over. This is me earnestly explaining the parking procedure and affixing the very coveted pink sticker.

Cindy, Sue and I. 600+ ladies off the Island, 800+ ladies onto the Island, plus about 10 packed tour buses. Cindy and I were greeters, and Sue was the be-everywhere-at-once lady. It was the wonderful dock porters who worked themselves silly all morning making sure everyone (and their luggage) got to the right spot. Congratulations on a good well done!

I was back on the Island by 2:00 and heading home past The Gate House. The weather has warmed to the point that a few folks were eating outside on the patio!
That’s about all I have for today except . . . . .
Signing the contract with our real estate agent yesterday gave me a really sad moment, and when he asked me to take a few photos to share on their website, I thought, “Oh Geez, we’re really doing this.” That was quickly followed by that sense of peace again, and the moment passed – but it’s one I’m sure I’m going to feel again and again as we go through this process.
I’ve just emailed the photos to our agent, and I thought I’d share them with you. IF you know of anyone who might be interested in a 3-bedroom, 2-bath condo on Mackinac Island, please have them contact Mackinac Island Realty, Inc. and speak with either Bill Borst or Jim Smith (906) 847-6483.
There’s a BUNCH of these!
What do you want to bet I get an email from our agent tomorrow saying, “Brenda, I only wanted three or four pics!” Hey, he asked the wrong lady to take the photos!
Brenda,
Your place is so beautiful! You did such a great time decorating it. I am sure you won’t have any trouble selling it. I would love to be able to buy it, but I know what you mean about maintaining 2 households. Maybe someday when I am able to spend 6 months on the Island. For now I will have to settle for 3 times/yr.
Thanks for sharing your life on Mackinac with us! I wish terribly that I could visit this year and bike around the Island with my daughter. Somehow reading your blog daily is the next best thing!
Brenda, your place is gorgeous!! I hope things go well for you with the sale. God bless!! Dan and I will be on the island May 20-21 for Celebrate Your Marriage, I can’t wait! Mackinac Island is my favorite place in the world.
Take care!
I did my bedroom a few years ago in what I considered a “beach cottage” look. White furniture, blue carpet, yellow walls. Needless to say I love your place’s decor.
Such a beautiful place. It will be hard to leave I’m sure. Lots of wonderful memories but more adventures to come. Kathy
Makes me homesick….
Beautiful, just beautiful! Remember memories are transferable: )
Good Luck,
Theresa
Lucky Real Estate Agent! Be sure to get a photo commission!
This makes me sad too :(. Hope we do go all get to go back more!
We’ll be back LOTS of times, Blake, and so will you and the rest of the family. Once Mackinac gets into your heart, you can’t ever leave her for good. Looking forward to making many more memories there together!

I just love all the photos of the condo. With all those photos I would think that it would make the condo sell faster, hopefully not. Hopefully you and Ted will be able to be on the island at least this entire year and it would sell over winter. It would be great if both places sold on the same day, and the two of you were in Lake Blackshear all winter like hopefully you and Ted would be on the Island all summer.
Judy, one of our neighbors here in the condos, who doesn’t use her unit very much, has offered it to us for as long as we’d like to stay – IF the condo sells this summer. So I think we’ll be here all season, regardless! That made me a very happy lady!

If I win the Lottery this weekend, you will be the first person I contact to purchase your condo! LOL!
Now there’s a tough question, if I won the library, a condo on Mackinac or by Traverse City’s Old Mission Peninsula?
Your condo is very pretty:) One day my husband and I will buy a place on the island and live there during the summer…. one day:)
I have followed your blog since my husband and I went to the Island for our honeymoon in August 2011. I think I left a bit of my heart there…it’s a magical place. I’ve so enjoyed your posts and pictures but had to smile when I looked at the “for sale” pictures you posted. One looked especially familiar! When we were on the island, we of course did one of the carriage tours and I took a ton of pictures. Does my profile picture look familiar? What a view you have on that hill! A little slice of heaven…. 🙂
Oh my gosh, Teresa, that is crazy! And would believe on our very first trip to the island in 2000, we went on that very same carriage tour, and I looked up at those condos and thought. . . “One day . . . “
I was thinking the same……if I win that Powerball, I’ll be calling you the next day to set up a showing, but really, who needs a showing with all those great pictures??
If I took pictures of our house at just about any time, ours would also feature a dachshund curled up in a chair! What a selling point… the condo has the Maddie seal of approval.
Your place is beautiful…if only……
I don’t think you will have any trouble selling it. Beautiful place.
Brenda, what a beautiful condo! we visit the Island a few times a season…we will be staying at the Bicycle Inn from 6/6-6/9 (I took the fall boardwalk photo you posted)..hopefully we can stop in for a visit! we’ve always dreamed of living on the island 🙂
Your an awesome decorator Bree! Your condo is very very beautiful! I know it will sell fast! Its been taken very good care of and the view is beautiful. I am happy to see that you and Ted made it back safely to the Island. I really enjoy all of your pictures and your blog. Take care!!
Are you moving off the island?
